Acas

Acas (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) aims to improve organisations and working life through better employment relations and has advice for employers and employees on a range of employment issues. They have guidance on gender identity employment matters.

Department of Health

The Department of Health has a range of guidance for trans service users on its website. Guidance includes Guidance for GPs, other clinicians and health professionals on the care of gender variant people; Trans: a practical guide for the NHS and Transgender experiences: information and support.

In discussions with trans representatives there’s been a call for guidance on how to treat trans people in same sex wards. This guidance already exists and can be found here.

The NHS choices’ website provides information on transgender health

Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)

The Commission has responsibility for the promotion and enforcement of equality and non-discrimination laws in England, Scotland and Wales. It has advice on trans equality and discrimination matters for employers, employees and service providers and users. It also has guidance on the application of the Equality Act 2010.
